My Basic Philosophy:
I believe in the Three R’s and the Four C’s. Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic provide the strong foundation for all of education. In today’s world, students must know how to communicate, collaborate, solve complex problems, and always be critical thinkers. Technology integration will be crucial in the development of these skills. Perhaps the following quotes can better summarize my thoughts:
- From a movie I watched with my daughters recently, Meet the Robinsons, “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” - Walt Disney
- And, from the Becoming Van Gogh exhibit that appeared at the Denver Art Museum, “I wouldn't like to be without either the old fashioned or the newer attitude. There are too many excellent things in both schools.” - Vincent van Gogh
About Me:

My little family in the woods of Vermont.
My career path has taken me through many years in the restaurant business and a stint in the financial industry. I have undergraduate degrees from both Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado. In the fall of 2012 I took on the role of Technology Integration Coach for the Weld Re-1 School District. I graduated from UNC's Educational Leadership Program in December of 2013.
I have had the pleasure of working and learning in Weld Re-1 since January of 2007. I taught 8th grade Social Studies at South Valley Middle School, and coached our middle school football teams. I will always remain proud of the of title Teacher. I know that I must continue to learn in life and in my profession, so I am trying to improve every day. Similarly, I have a curiosity and a desire to use technology to transform the way we educate our students.
Hopefully this site is informative, helpful, and just a little bit silly. Enjoy!
